Alexandra's Story
Alexandra Dow is the founder of Alexandra Dow Design, a studio based in Westchester and working throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City. Her work spans residential design, renovations, and interiors that layer craftsmanship with character. Drawing on a background in both architecture and interiors, Alexandra creates spaces that feel intentional, lived-in, and deeply personal. Her approach blends natural materials with thoughtful detailing, resulting in environments that are as functional as they are refined. Each project is shaped by a close collaboration with clients, guided by a belief that beautiful design should elevate everyday life.

My friend came over this week and said "This apartment looks like you read Arch Digest religiously." It's just one of the many compliments I've received on the space - and there's still more to add! I thought it was a good way to sum up how incredible the space feels, and also what it's like working with Alexandra. She's kind and understanding, and she's also just extremely knowledgeable about all things interior design. We started from scratch with zero furniture, and I had a very (very) difficult space to work with because it is a small studio, and I am very meticulous about design. Alexandra made the space functional, cozy and quite stylish with quality designer furniture on a budget.
